I’m not really sure how it works, but my question is: would it be possible to install joystick on a 2005 sundancer 280?

Anything is possible, but I would imagine your looking at tens of thousands of $$$

Do you have digital throttle and shift (DTS) and a bow thruster?

I think that would be the minimum equipment needed to even consider a joy stick.

I think the factory option was $12,000 if it’s possible to add would make it $36,000++. It would be cheaper to hire a captain

I think I would only consider this if you were doing a complete re-power and installing two new engines. I am not even sure if you could add one that the system was not designed and programmed for. These systems are quite integrated and require additional electronics to pull it off. I think it would quickly outpace the value of your current boat.
