FLIBS 2023…Who’s going?

We will be at the show Friday and Saturday as well

Same here... Friday and Saturday

Leaving on Wednesday and coming back the following Monday.

Thinking about headed over. First timer for the show. We can drive over, so I think we will spend all day Thursday there. Hoping it is not as crowded and can get through and see things.

I am heading down Thursday night and will be at the show Friday. I unfortunately my wife can only handle 1 day of looking at boats so Saturday will be a Pool/beach day.

Friday and Saturday also. I don't know what I'm looking for but no doubt it'll be expensive.... It always is.
Old home week with folks we haven't seen in a while also.

Heading to the Show Friday and Saturday. This will be my first Flibs.

Any advice on where to park and how to attack the show? Not interested in seeing super yachts. Just boats motor yachts in the 50’ range and all the vendors. We are staying in Del Ray.

In FLL today, and MIA tonite/tomorrow. Walked by today, thinking about hitting it for a couple hours tomorrow.

Highlights? Must see items/vendors?

Hey Dave - I spend a lot of time (and money) in the yellow and blue zones. That is including looking at the cruisers and trawlers. Get a water taxi pass if you have time to see it all.

Made it to opening day. One of the first through the door a little before noon.

First on the hit list was to get some hands on time with a Isotherm 195 refridge which I did and one vendor has a 25% off show special. I’ll get a quote. This is my first choice for a main fridge replacement.

Made it by the Sea Ray dock, took a tour of the 400SLX, but really not very interested in the SR line these days…doesn’t fit our style of boating.

The other interesting product was Teakdeacking Synthetics. Fiberglass backed composit flooring material. This might be another good alternative flooring material for the cabin areas. I didn’t have a whole lot of time to get into the details, so if someone else gets a chance to check them out.

Spent all day Thursday at the show. SeaRay had an ok booth, nothing spectacular and lacking compared to their competitors. What I did notice is the price tags. 310 OB for $400k, 290 SDX OB deep into the $200 range. They have lost touch a bit. Plenty of other choices for less $$ that were as nice or maybe nicer.

Probably over 300 boats that were well over $1m. Maybe 100 that were over the $10m mark. Big money in boating in that area. Hard to find anything under the $100k mark. And we did not even go to the yacht area….

First day ever at FLIBS. It’s overwhelming! I loved that Sea Ray asked if we were previous owners, picked up a hat and a couple of searay coasters.

I also learned today that I’m not a big fan of the sea deck style flooring. It looks great, but I don’t really like how hot it gets.

planning to hit the convention center tomorrow

The 400 SLX was $1M and the cabin area underneath was underwhelming.
