Are you under some illusion that I am defending Biden here?? Doesn’t mean FPOTUS is in the clear. He needs to prove declassification happened or he has committed the same crimes as Biden. The search warrant was righteous based on the evidence. No hypocrisy here. Unpucker. The Biden’s will get their property searched too.

it’s telling that now you suddenly care about document management. I have all along. Thats the lack of hypocrisy of which I speak.


Edit- if FPOTUS can magically declassify by thinking about it, as you claim Trump can, how do we know Obama didn’t do so with these documents? Just saying. Declassification is key and it has to be proven somehow. If had Biden these illegally, which on the surface it appears he did, absent proof of declassification by Obama, he is fucked. Now apply the same to Trump. Where is proof of declassification? It can’t be one way for Trump and different for Obama, no matter what you feel about either of them.

Ad nauseam - If we were 'comparing', then the same standard must apply with Bill Clintons sock drawer and Obama's old furniture warehouse in Chicago. However you would have none of that when you had your conniption fits about Trump months ago....

What you seem to fail to grasp is that a VP has "zero" authorization to have these documents.

Again, neither Biden or Trump thus far have PROOF the documents either possessed have been declassified, thus they are in the same boat, yes??? Again, you don’t know that Obama didn’t declassify what Biden had anymore than you know that Trump declassified what he had. Right??? If trump declassified them by “saying so” and you buy that, then how do you know Obama didn’t do same for the ones that Biden had??? I grasp that as VP he had no authority to declassify, but again, prove to me that Obama didn’t??

It’s a fuck up of colossal and epic proportions by Biden. He is an idiot. An imbecile approaching that of other imbeciles. There, am I doing it right???

I am not apologizing for Biden. Not one iota. But to say Trump is righteous minus proof is also erroneous. To my mind, they both had documents illegally until proof surfaces otherwise.

Because the proof of declassification demands it be marked as such. So he is fucked. Fine, he deserves it. It’s the same for both parties because declassification is more than the president thinking it or saying it out loud. To think otherwise is naive.

The problem is…the docs Trump had didn’t bear the declassification markings either. So…he is clear? No. He shouldn’t be. If he did declassify, cool…why aren’t they marked as such?

See why I think they are both in trouble? Or should be??

Actually a president does not have to discuss or inform anyone before declassification. So the proof of lack of declassification falls on the judiciary or prosecutor. Now same can be said for the Biden docs. Obama can stick his neck out and claim he declassified the Biden docs, which I doubt will happen.

I may be wrong but I’ve read that the documents do need to go back through agencies to get properly marked once declassified by POTUS . I suppose the talking head experts that have worked in said agencies could be wrong on that point. Dunno.

And no, Obama won’t lie for Biden. Not a chance. You are right about that for sure.

Not true. Like several others such as SECSTATE and SECDEF, the Vice President is an Original Classification Authority and has authority to declassify. Not that it matters since it's not a plausible defense for mishandling.

Other than what I read about an EO from Bush on classified documents and declassifying documents, if the VP was the original in classifying, (muddy at best) please, at least give us a link or something to read claiming this….or is that it, a Bush era EO?

A VP cannot remove/take home/keep as personal, said classified documents, which is what I was implying and what this discussion is about.
