    First boat - 1997 Bow Rider 190?

It’s awesome that you know and hopefully trust the neighbor. Even though the power is there, you don’t need to use it. I think it’s a fine first boat and you’ll appreciate the power when you’re ready for it.

    Snap in carpet

Some companies may work with a custom template. Look at MatWorks and Corinthian.

Sea Ray really dropped the ball on the Bimini top frame design

I went to the boat yesterday and put the Bimini in the up position and put the cover on. Easy peasy!

Sea Ray really dropped the ball on the Bimini top frame design

My mooring cover has the openings for the Bimini arms but is getting pretty tired. I’ll be sure to get a set next year with the openings.

Sea Ray really dropped the ball on the Bimini top frame design

I hate to admit that it didn’t occur to me to just release the front straps and leave the rear arms in place. Doh!

Sea Ray really dropped the ball on the Bimini top frame design

I’ve got the same boat and have the same criticism. I don’t think there’s a way to have it closed and left in the up position unfortunately. Maybe there is and I could learn if I read the book!

Moving the Sport to a slip

The Sport is happy and the wife is happier! I’ve ordered some additional Mission fenders because the marina doesn’t have a lot of protection along the sides.

    Trailer pole guides

I installed bunks but they work well enough. https://www.basspro.com/shop/en/bass-pro-shops-short-bunk-style-guide-on

    Trailer pole guides

I added some to my 185 Sport trailer last year. The boat centers nicely, as noted, if you have the trailer at the perfect depth. I load and unload myself and the guides help get it right regardless of the depth. I installed mine (bunks, not poles) in about 15 minutes with the boat on the...

Moving the Sport to a slip

This is what is there. I’ll try manually triggering it.

Moving the Sport to a slip

I put it in the slip today and it does have a float switch. I’m going to test it tomorrow I think. There’s a hose near my slip that I use.

Moving the Sport to a slip

I’ll have to look at the manual to see if the pump is automatic and manual. It didn’t occur to me that a lowly 185 Sport may have such a fancy system!

    My boating done for year

I’m hoping for a swift recovery!

Moving the Sport to a slip

Sorry everyone. It will be at a marina in Cherry Creek reservoir in Denver/Aurora in an uncovered slip. I have mooring covers but I also have a full cover that I intend to use. Not super convenient but it covers the entire top of the boat and I’ll get some of the suction cups to tie it down...

Moving the Sport to a slip

I’ve rented a slip for the remainder of this summer (to 10/31/2023) and need to figure out two things: 1. I should upgrade my bilge pump or add a secondary unit. My 185 Sport has a bilge switch, so I may replace the existing pump and go directly to the battery. 2. Since the pump will be...
