Wow, you guys are working this on Thanksgiving? I have been behind the frig. I think it might be tight. These new replacement units are a little bigger. Then you need to replumb and pull 240v lines. I am thinking this may not be as hard as it seems.

Will start cutting the board out next time I come to Grand Haven. Pulled out the sofa yesterday and capped the water lines. I plan to remove the entire back board and when I reinstall, make whole board removable instead of that little hole.

I have started the task of replacing the water heater. The compartment has a max depth of 20". Whale/Seaward are 22" deep. Kumas are 21" I found a round Raritan that is 19" in diameter. Might need to turn it sideways to allow for hoses protruding. These are around $1,000. Anyone know of...

At the boat yard--Grand Isle, he said I have two leaks. One is the water heater. Is there a post way back that tells how to replace it? They also told me nobody makes a 240 volt replacement water heater anymore.

Forward head shower drain is draining very slowly. Ideas on how to clean it? Don't want to wreck the shower sump float or pump.

You do know these boats well Wolf. Pulled out the panel. No leaks. There is a board on the bottom with 2 screws. It seems to be really sealed in. Do you know what is below that? The tubes for the heater and washer go forward and then wrap around to the port side. But I think they go below...

Yep. The compartment is between the 2 stringers. And, I can see the water heater is above those same 2 stringers. So, if water gets down in there, it could flow forward to that little bulkhead and leak under and through it. How did you get to the front of the water heater?

I just took the panel out above the water heater. There is no water back there--behind the water heater and washing machine. Put a flashlight into that small hole where the big wires for the bow thruster go and I can't see that light coming thru anywhere. Do you know what is behind that?

I don't know how to start a new post, so here goes. I am collecting a fair amount of water in the floor compartment at the bottom of the stairs closest to the refrigerator. It is pretty much a sealed compartment. There are no hoses going thru or above it. Does anybody have any ideas?

My ice maker has stopped cooling. A new U-Line is $1,800. Are there any cheaper alternatives??

Thanks Wolf. Guess I pulled the sofa for naught. At least I don't have to pull the washer/dryer out.

Wolf, you have posted a number of comments on removing the refrigerator and washer/dryer. My dryer vent is clogged. I have removed the aft sofa. Do I need to remove the refrigerator to get to the clamps holding the washer/dryer to get it out.?
