These are what I used. They are not USCG approved for use in a gasoline engine compartment. Nor are they endorsed by any association or regulating body for use in a marine environment. However, since they are waterproof I felt comfortable using them in the engine room

I replaced all of the fixtures in the ER room and all lockers in the cockpit. That's why I have some of the old ones laying around.
I had this issue. It was the hull-deck joint right above the swim platform. I re-sealed it when took off all of the rub rail and did the entire joint all around the boat.
Added cooling fans to the cockpit fridge compartment. Made a huge improvement in the efficiency of the fridge. Very quiet and rarely hear them.

The seal is very similar to the original. The original was flattened and did not seal very well. The seal sticks to the underside of the hatch and seals against the lip that is molded in the cockpit floor that goes around the engine compartment. Yes, it did help with reducing noise.

Replaced the head sink, drain, faucet/shower, and shower holder. I did have to get an adapter to go from the drain to the overboard hose(Sorry, don't have a link for that. I think I got it at Home Depot).

Replaced insulation/sound deadening material and seal on the engine hatch.
I used HVAC foil tape to seal the edges of the insulation.

You can get the valve covers off without removing the exhaust manifolds. Use a 3/8, 1/4 drive swivel socket and a long extension. You will have to remove the coil bracket/relay wiring and move the oil cooler line out of the way.
It's tight, but doable.
