I use a mobile marine mechanic for our 1985 SeaRay Monaco which sits on our dock (out of the water) in Canada all year round. The mechanic showed up to winterize the engine unexpectedly and did not have the keys to the boat. He texted me after he left and said he winterized the engine, but i...
Thanks. Yes, we only use it in order to dock in shallow water. Couple questions:
- If I adjust the trim limit by loosening those screws, will it go as high as the trailer button allows for?
- Do I need to worry about affecting the trim low point if i adjust the high point, or is the low point...
My 1985 Monaco used to allow me to use trim button to raise the prop all the way up, similar to the trailer button. When I had the bellows done the marina also fixed the trim gauge because it stopped working, but now I can’t raise the prop all the way up and have to use the hard to push trailer...
Wow! That's a lot of information :) I don't have the time or the patience to do all that myself so I am happy the price i paid was reasonable.
I found the Trailer switch and it is in fact working. The button is hard to press though! I think the Trim button is also working fine because at the...

Oh I see. Where is the trailer button located?
I guess my grandfather removed that limiter because we need to raise and lower it every single time we drive the boat.
I have only ever adjusted the prop using the up and down trim button located on the throttle control. When I picked up the boat after the gimbal bearing work they replaced the trim limit sender wiring as it was chewed up and the gauge was not showing the trim level. The gauge now works, but the...
