Even with a covered slip/canopy, I'd still want to put up the actual canvas to keep out rain, debris, etc. This kills two birds with one stone; also significantly lengthens the life of the boat's canvas.

Having dealt with the canvas puzzle on that boat, a good "coachable moment" would be to install and remove it together. That $16k will feel like $2.00 real quick. :) Nice color choice.
