    410 Sundancer/Express Cruiser and 400 Sundancer/Express Cruiser **Official Thread**

I’m trying to trouble shoot a possible fresh water tank issue. i understand it is not good to run them full as they are “L” shaped and tend to leak at that inner angle. I have removed all the access panels to the tank. I was going to pull it out and test. Then i had the brilliant idea to remove...

    Coolant Loss 3116 Cat

I would get a mechanic out there right away. If you have water in those cylinders and don’t tend to that immediately, you’ll be looking at a new engine. Forget about the cooling system. That is no longer important! it Is possible you pumped several gallons of coolant into the engine when you...

Yacht Decking - Synthetic Marine Decking

The deck has been 8 or 9 years. It needs to be replaced next year. This is the first year with the forward section. No more muddy footprints from the dew when you walk up there in the morning. We love it

    Coolant Loss 3116 Cat

I agree with the above. However, before you start pulling it apart I would pressurize the system FIRST. it may be easier to determine the cause before disassembling. Possibly isolate the expansion tank and heat exchanger from the engine.

Follow up to temperature issue When the stbd helm temp gauge would erratically climb, I would jump into the engine room to check the engine mounted gauges. I found the stbd engine mounted gauge read normal while the helm gauge would read about 15 degrees higher. I still need to source sender...

    Transmission trouble

I’m going to say no. If the packs are fused that would entail tranny out and a rebuild. I see you are in Boston. You are in luck. Peter Nopper from Nopper Marine is located in Fairhaven MA. I had him rebuild 2 Hurth v drives for me. One was a stuck clutch pack. The other had other issues. im...

Are you sure it’s holding tank. That fresh water sump will get messy from lack of use. It will get a moldy nasty black film that smells

I’m trying to source a replacement temperature sensor for the helm 120 to 240 temp gauge. It is not a Caterpillar supported item. The gauge is a sea ray/Faria original item. Any information is greatly appreciated. Thanks guys

Both sets of tubes flow raw water. The coolant flows around the outside of the tubes. Raw water flows through the half that looks clogged. Then it turns around at the other side and flows back. That is a fact
