I have mine mounted in a dome on the roof of my flybridge. I never have any obstructions and the dome protects it from weather. I’m pleased so far with the set up after 4+ months.
I’ve been a member here for a long time. I owned a 2003.5 Sundancer 340 and loved that boat. In December of 2001 I sold it and recently purchased a 2003 Mikelson 50. It is powered by Cummins 480 CE’s. Surveys and compression tests all came out well, but I’m learning diesels for the first...
Not having to deal with gunked up carbs and fuel is nice. I have 2 batteries, so I can run it as hard as I want and charge the other one and swap them.
Roughly $1K a month. Could be more depending on which basin you are in. I have a 340 and pay $650 a month in MDR. I did get 1 months free rent when I moved into the slip for signing an annual contract.
Nice trip. We’ve hiked out there, but not used the moorings. Is there a dinghy dock you can use to go to shore and access any of the hiking trails? We are headed over week after next for 5 days.
Definitely get that thing over to Catalina. Having a boat and access to the island is one of the only upsides to the pandemic. I have been setting up office on my boat over there 1 week a month.
Thank you. You are correct. The rockers are Port and Starboard start switches and a cross over, in case of failure of the house battery bank. Appreciate the quick feedback.
