Tried updating my units to the 35.10v yesterday. What a cluster. Both my 8616 and my 1222 ended up with the "recovery loader ready" message on the screen. I then had to remove each from the network and power down to get them to load. The 1222 still won't load so I will have to install from a sd...
Really don't want to force anything while its in the water. It seems equally hard to close as it was to open. For now I'm going to see if I can introduce some lubricant through the small bolt fitting attached. From the cutaway diagram I think if the ball is in the open position i should be able...
Winterized my genny in the water before haulout last fall. I normally open the seacocks after haulout. This time I don't recall if i did or not. I was trying to working on the overboard thru hull so i may have closed it for the winter to gain access. I did not try to open the seacock until this...
So here’s a new one I heard today. Let me know if anyone has tried. Apply mop&glow to the waterline to prevent the scum and discoloration from forming?
Working in IT and dealing with many different vendors. I’ve noticed almost everyone is moving to sub based applications. The one benefit is that you will always have a support package and the latest software. If you think charting subs are rip off wait until they move to subs for the operating...
My sub expired in June of 23 I let it go because I didn’t see the value in renewing. Labor Day weekend I was headed out and my autoroutung stopped working. Seems they gave me 90 day grace period. I switched to my g3 and autorouted to my destination. Nothing else really changed. Autoroute is not...
That’s a good price. I think that’s what the renewal goes for. And yes you keep your old purchased charts. When it expires you loose your updates and auto routing. Which is so stupid. I can see updates but why autorouting? Aside from this I do like the navionics over the old Garmin charts.
Have done mine a few times now and personally I think changing my port impeller is worse than removing/reinstalling the aftercooler. One thing I found useful was i bought threaded studs with a hex drive drive. This allowed me to remove the bolts one at a time and thread in the stud. The stud...
Unfortunately its a game of trial and error. I got lucky and got it down after a few tries. Assuming you have the chocks that fit in the rails you have to ball park their placement. I set mine in place and lightly tighten the bolts. I then loaded the dinghy and adjusted the angles of each chock...
Thats great info. Thank you! My only concern is not being able to open for airflow. But i think i could have a vent added to the top of the isenglass panel. Also looks like the control wire and power is run through one of the supports?
@Bruce SEA 993 now that i may have to replace my front center panel I'm considering the panely with wiper option. Do you have additional photos of the setup from the inside. Found this company below that sells them. https://ajrmarinewindows.com/
Interesting email recieved from Garmin today.
Hello Dean,
If you were wanting to configure the TD 50 to display OneHelm information, you would completely lose all other functions of the TD 50. For example, no radar, autopilot control, charting, anything of that nature. We ccan do it, but yu...
