Help I can move my distributor and affect the tuning

(Sea Ray 220 2003 with 5.0 MPI) So I can move my distributor around its axis about 5 degrees in either direction. I had a stalling problem (ended up being the IAC) but trying to start the boat again I was fiddling with the distributor. Now the boat works well. But not until I "retuned" the...

SO my 2003 220 with the 305 ci (5.0L MPI) motor all of a sudden wont idle. SO I've been using it all summer no problem at all. Starts and runs fine. Broke this Bimini strut on my 2004 220 bowrider

So pulling out of my slip I caught the anchor of another boat and it snapped the rear vertical strut of my Bimini frame. Is this a part that is available to purchase somewhere? I also considered finding a welder to weld it back together. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Trim tab kit for Sea Ray 220

So it's March, time to think about your boat as shrink wrap removal time nears. I've got a Sea Ray 220 bow rider that I think would benefit from some trim tabs. The boat is in New Jersey and crossing Raritan Bay headed to New York it can be a bit rough. I trim the engine bow down as much as I...

Sea Dog replacement ignition switch broke.

So I made it all the way back to about 100 feet from my marina and I stalled (which happens if I put it in neutral too fast). No big deal so I go to start it up again (2004 SR 220) and when I turn the key I feel something break inside the switch and now the key just freely turns. Cannot start...

    Can't post in marine electronics

I'm trying to post a question in the marine electronics Q and A forum and it tells me I don't have permission. I'm just wondering is there going to be a way for me to post something there? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

How do you beach an I/O?

I'm new to I/O boating having bought a 220 with an alpha 1 on a 5.0. I'm very familiar with beaching an outboard. I'm guessing I just have to stay off the beach with my new boat. Is there any way to get on the beach dry? (Of course I could anchor and wade in but there's only so much stuff you...

Help me understand fuel consumption on my 2003 Sea Ray 220 5.0 MPI

So I'd like to understand my expected fuel consumption a bit better. I've searched the web and found this video (Different engine I know) and he says something at the 2:30 mark that makes no sense. He says "Our best cruising speed was 30.3 MPH while turning 3500 RPM. At this pace we burned 24.2...

Quick! What at Home Depot will suffice for a Sea Ray 220 drain plug?

So I took my boat out of the marina and they kept the drain plug. I'm launching it tomorrow and I'm wondering what at Home Depot would suffice for a drain plug - some brass threaded object. I'll buy a few of them. 2003 Sea Ray 220. Thanks.

What do you folks do to get a 12v plug for iPads, etc?

I'm new to Sea Ray having just bought a 2003 220 bow rider. I'm realizing now that there is no where to plug in a 12v "cigarette lighter adapter" to keep devices charged. My main nav is a waterproof cased iPad running Garmin Blue Water and I'd like to keep it plugged in at the helm. Any DIY...

Help they say I need a new engine. 2003 Sea Ray 220

So at the end of the season I bought a 2003 Sea Ray 220 with a Mercruiser 5.0L MFI and when I bought it it ran but needed a little bit of throttle to stay running. So we wintered it on the rack and put it in the water two weeks ago. It was doing the same thing - not idling and needing extra...
