Take a few minutes and read this thread. Starting at #12. Listen to the video too. While mine was not as loud as the video, it saved me a lot of stress. It may be as dt suggests, but take a few to go through the post I attached...
So I did not use a broker and this may not help much, but when I bought my 340, I wanted a few things fixed. One item we discussed was really a deferred maintenance item (Manifolds never changed). The buyer pushed back on that. The surveyor found cracks in the fuel line fittings and noted my...
Interesting - I asked about that (terminator) but he said just the dust caps needed. I’ll double check that.
Also - earlier here I posted that I have the gage solved with the harness shown below (bottom pic).
So this is what they sent me today - with the understanding the that dual cable plugs into another 4 way like what leeron shows above, not the harness as shown, Thanks for the offer on the six box but I’ll just install it as they state since I already ordered it all.
Appreciate the reply.
So ttmott - with my 2 - 4 ways, there is a Harness from each motor on each box(outer). I have a cable that connects both boxes (inner). If I had a six box, could both motors be on one six box rather than two fours? Or does each have power as there is no power wire at my helm.
i ask because it...
Thanks - interesting that it came with my 502 yet the install directions don’t show it.
I bummed to find out I need another jbox and cable after talking again with merc. It turns out the drawing I sent you only shows the final box as you drew. Mine has a jbox for each engine and a connection...
Great news! Especially since I just ordered a 502 for my boat. I decided rather than wait for the moment the current view died, I would convert now.
The only difference in my set up compared to yours, is I have (2) 4 port J-Boxes, each have one engine going into them, a cable to connect box to...
Read my replies on 13 and 14…
I leave my batteries in the boat but just disconnect them so nothing draws on them.

Ttmott replied in this thread post number 3 and seemed to be right on. I am no expert here but am looking to do the same thing and have been on the phone with Mercruiser several times this week.
Below is a picture they (Merc) sent me. I still have questions because the harness (lower one)...
First off, consider yourself lucky as those pictures show us a grill only a few feet where fuel was collecting. Obviously someone was watching over you and your children.
My bilge pumps turn on and while I never measure exactly how much is left after they are done, it’s nowhere near 30...
I wont be popular with this observation, but my dock neighbor had a 29 ft maxim he added an extended platform on. It definitely threw off the balance of the boat and he ended up adding ballast to the bow just to get it to ride somewhat level. I remember when he had a bunch of girls at the dock...
