Following up on the 12V circuit from the batteries to the guest stateroom for the 120/12V freezer. I was down at the boat this afternoon and was looking from behind the couch backrest cushion forward. in behind there is the deck fill hose and not much else going forward. Has anyone drilled...

Yes, the control wire goes up one of the struts and the hose for the washer goes up the other. I may talk to my canvas person. A simple vent would work. The issue is it that it's quite a ways up to the front across the dash. The vent on the 380 was easy to adjust.

I have the canvas insert that is on their website. It has the wiper built in with the washer. Right now the washer does not work but I don't miss it. I need to replace the little pump...no biggie. Still would like a vent at the front for some air movement. Sometimes when it is hot here and we...

Thanks! The pictures will help a lot. I can get the wire up and behind the couch from behind the cockpit fridge. It would be better through the engine room if possible. There is a 110V outlet on the side of the storage under the bed near the floor. That would be a great place for the 12V...

Hey baj, I never got to this "12V outlet" project in the VIP stateroom but I did look at the firewall at the time. I was looking for wires going through the firewall. I just re-read this, is it a cover plate that is the access point? Thanks for re-visiting this !! Cheers!

Has anyone ever found the washers for the bilge washdown faucet? It is a Whitecap P-2453C and nothing comes up for the washer kit. They may be common and available at Home Depot. There is a 100+ variety pack available from Amazon too. I really don't need that many as I do not rebuild valves like...

Tim, Did you take the pump assembly off and replace the duck bills on the bench? I'm guessing you did. In that case it is 4 bolts for the pump assy and the hoses.

Make sure that you rule out the seal on the toilet. The duck bills are not too bad to replace but getting to them is hard unless you remove the exhaust tube. Maybe someone who has done the exhaust RnR could give some tips. I have heard it is a 2 person job. Once it is out, the tank and pumps...

Has anyone ever had a problem with the splice from the anchor chain to the rode getting stuck in the gypsy? Edit: To try and clarify a little...the splice gets jambed in the hole going into the chain locker and then the chain gets all bunched up and I have to remove the "finger" with Allen...

I have the ingredients in the Amazon cart along with some other stuff. Our boat buddies who are also big RVers swear by Happy Camper. I think it is the same as NoFlex. I looked up Happy Camper at Walmart... about $12 per pound. Looks like making it up ourselves is about 50 cents a pound...

The lacing for the top is right there and there is space between the outer cover and the inner liner for the wire. You could zip tie a starboard plate to the lacing and keep it pretty secure. The radar arch is accessible too but would need a new hole between the inner and outer layers at the...

I also installed the Nova Kool RFU9000 in the galley. It is almost 50% larger than the NorCold I took out. It fits in the same opening with some minor trimming. There are a few screw heads to clearance on the opening and the electrical box needs to be moved outboard. I would have been OK even...

Scotty Mount on new Highfield CL360

We got a new Highfield Classic 360 Limited at the end of September just in time for our season to be over. Took it out a couple of times before the rains started. Picked it up the same day as our new Standard Poodle puppy. We have been working on his training etc. Looking for ideas for the new...

Any local canvas shop could do this for you. You also could go to a carpet like Corinthian that is dirt and stain resistant. You can buy remnants from Corinthian and have a local canvas shop bind it and put the snaps in. Just an alternative...!

Are you going to do this yourself? Knock on wood but ours are doing fine but.... they do not last forever. Wondering how much work is involved in removing the exhaust and then laying across the battery bank. It has been mentioned here before but the details of exhaust removal etc are not clear...
