Plus one on the non-original. My 1998 40 DA tank developed a small crack at the "L" on the top. I repaired a few years ago using a kayak repair kit (learned on this site). The tank had nothing around it.
I did fill the voids around the tank when reinstalling after repair, was surprised at how...
My 1998 40 DA came with a cigarette lighter adapter to open the hatch in the event of a 12 v power loss. Made by M and G electric, MFG tag is still on it.
As I understand it, they also made some of the breaker panels for Sea Ray.
I've used it a few times, no issues.
I used Robert's to "glue" engineered hardwood to the hatches six years ago. Also used it on a few stubborn floor pieces that wanted to squeak, the rest floats.
Didn't know about the climate control.
No issues so far, I'm not in a climate controlled building. Temp swings since I installed...
We have a 1998 40 DA, just (2) of us plus a 6 pound dog. We live aboard for the summer. My house is approximately 20 minutes away, we pop in to do laundry and pick up the mail on occasion.
A few recent trips away from the marina were:
Buffalo to NYC via Erie Canal and Hudson River - (7 weeks)...
Thanks, New dash panels from Flounder Pounder, a few years ago when I installed the Aetna tachs. The Borel panel is for engine overheats, that’s the way they label them. There is a sensor band around the exhaust that detects loss of raw water cooling before engine overheats or damage to wet...
+ 1 on @Strecker25's suggestion, they are great for a 1st level troubleshoot.
On another note, roughed in my Turbocater gauges today. (learned from @Strecker25)
Figured as long as I'm pulling wires, pulled some for Borel Mgf. raw water alarms. (learned from @Maybe A Dancer) Repurposed the...
I have the same unit, can see 3 for sure, would need a mirror or smaller hand to see/feel if there is a fourth. Mine is rotated 90 degrees from yours, I see 2 up higher, one low.
Yeah! she replied in 2 hours.
Steve,
I have pasted the links to the part numbers you are looking for!
R660-25PL https://isspro.com/aftermarket/r660-25pl.html
R7110-25 https://isspro.com/aftermarket/r7110-25.html
Just a heads up, we will have to build: R609, R660-25PL, R7110-25, the lead...
Many thanks to @Strecker25. A few years ago, he posted his experience with installing Isspro EGT and boost gauges, complete with part numbers. I copied and pasted into my “to do” file. Finally pulled the trigger and ordered the parts about 15 days ago. A few of the part numbers changed, but Lucy...
Jeepers,
The guy is in a northern climate and many of up here use antifreeze rated lower than -50 in our engines for storage.
He did say the advice he got was “it's also effective at lower temps than the pink stuff.”
Agree on this. And this little accessory works great too. Friend had one, I tried it then bought my own. Small power head that uses the vac suction to spin.
@ttmott you are 100 percent correct. Just got back to the boat and looked at my recent install, indeed there is a base plate. I apologize for the misinformation that I posted.
There is a large upholstered piece in my boat as well. Shaped like a large guitar. I didn’t have to remove it, the new fasteners tightened up, not sure if there are nuts behind it or some sort of threaded fasteners in there.
Replaced my pedestal with a Garelick, I believe that's what the original one was too. It's not a fancy one, doesn't raise and lower easily. My purpose for posting is that I too was worried about the fasteners. The original ones came out easy and the new ones tightened up just fine. No headliner...
