Can someone share how to find missing vanes in the line? Where do they typically end up?
Or can the broken parts find there way out by themselves?
Is there a filter screen at the trans-cooler so broken vane parts cannot enter?
I need to replace my alternator. Mine is a part-number 862031, marine sae made in Korea. I see Walmart has them for $83. But I had one replaced a few years back on my other engine and the mechanic installed a Sierra for $275.

Was out and running around 2500rpm, starboard engine just shut off, smelled something burnt. Drove in on 1 engine. Now engine cranks but won't fire. Batteries seem fine. Any idea's?

Sorry for being dense....but to clarify...are you saying I can attach a 3/8" ID hose direct to the "top of dipstick tube" vs inserting my tiny straw all the way down the tube? And it will suck the all the oil out?

I have been using this for several years and get frustrated each time. It is soo slow. I use full synthetics so it is thicker oil. I always make sure the oil is warm by running the engines for a few moments. It takes 45 - 55min per engine and I never get 7qrts out, usually about 6.

In the engine bilge, between the batteries are 2 bilge pumps, both with separate floats (colred blue).
