UGH!
I had the same thing happen, but lost all my oil in a matter of seconds. It turns out the adapter for the remote oil filter came loose. I immediately shut down the engine, but it was too late, I am now in the process of getting a new long block and rebuilding that engine! When the mechanic...
Looks good
I also just upgraded to a fusion head and plan on adding subs and amps in the spring. Where are you planning on putting the sub?
I cannot find a good route from the head unit to the helm to connect a nmea cord to my garmin chartplotter.
Did you do this?
If anyone ran wiring can you...
No, I just have screens, I really think it's just that boat smell that my wife hates.
Ran the ozone generator last night and ordered the tee tree oil stuff so we'll see what happens
Anyone have a magic formula for getting rid of that "boat" smell in the cabin. Hard to describe it, definitely not mold as I have eradicated that, but more like plasticky (is that a word?)maybe from the vinyl cushions or the material on the seats and bunk? I keep the AC on and clean...
The same thing happened to me, there is an inline fuse behind the stereo, you have to unscrew the radio from the sides and slide it out. There are actually 2 fuses back there.
Steve
I posted this on the electrical page and got a few responses but I'm still stuck
When I launched my boat, I had no power to the stereo, radar or VHF radio. I have since learned that I have no power to my mid ship bilge pump or the sump pump for the shower
I checked all breakers and none are...
I believe they are, and now I have no front bilge either, so I think this is part of the "Main Cabin" breaker in the engine room, but it is not tripped, as far as I can tell. I assume that it pops out when tripped, but it is in the same position as the others.
I finally launched my boat this week, kinda in a rush as I have been busy and didn't have a bunch of time to check all my systems. When I turned on the stereo, radar and vhf, no power. luckily I had power to my Garmin GPS and depth finder as I was heading from the Cape up to Boston. I was close...
I had both carbs rebuilt when I bought the boat 3 years ago. The guy was a carb rebuilder, thats all he does and is pretty well known in these parts. He said there was corrosion in the carbs but he cleaned that all up
The boat ran OK, but would always cut out at idle (just when approaching a dock...
I absolutely need tabs down to get on plane, she pops right up while with them up, it takes a while.
I probably depends on how much weight is up front vs passengers in the back etc.
I get up on plane pretty quickly even with 6-8 people in the back
I researching prices for these batteries, I came across this at Batteries Plus
10% off when you order online and $10 mail in rebate.
Same batteries I bought at Sams for $179 are $129 before discounts and rebates.
But, in the description line, it says not ideal for starting main boat engine
12...
I've owned mine for 2 years now and love it, lots of room and plenty of power.
I have been able to get on plane with 10 people aboard (it takes a while and I had some move up to the helm area with me, and I don't make a habit of that, it's mostly cocktail cruising)
As far as standing, I'm 5'10...
As a follow up, I went to Sams to get the batteries the website said were in stock, but they were not, and are not currently getting deliveries.
I went on the website to check other stores and the next closest club (30 miles away) has AGM 34's (in stock!) on sale for $119!
Is this too good to be...
