Trucker needed Washington state to East Coast

I will need a trucker to haul a 40ft trawler and flybridge, (LOA 40' 6", Beam13' 3", 21,000 dry) from Washington state to the east coast sometime in February. The flybridge will be crated so that it will ride on the 5th wheel. The load is overwide but not over height. Thanks everyone.

Icom 605 vs Icom M410BB VHF

I am outfitting a new build trawler. I specified an Icom M605 in the pilothouse and a Icom M424g on the flybridge. The builder wants to install an Icom M410BB (black box radio) and use a HM-195 command mic in the pilothouse and on the flybridge. I wanted the noise canceling feature on both...

    Headhunter XCaliber XRS124

Does anybody have an opinion on the Headhunter XCaliber XRS124 water pump? I am having a cruising boat built that uses Jabsco pumps. I have the option to install a Headhunter pump. I am looking for dependability and water flow in that order. On the last boat I replaced a Jabsco about every 18...

    Maretron pressure transducer install

I am having a semi custom boat built. The builder has been great until I asked to change the waste monitoring system to the Maretron FPM 100 with the correct pressure transducer. The builder uses the WEMA system which I believe uses a standard 5 hole SAE fitting same as the Maretron pressure...

Matching Gel Coat color for a new build

We are building a boat and have chosen a striking Awlcraft color! We need to match the color in Gelcoat. So far the builder is not close to a match. The builder does not want to paint the hull. We have provided a named color and the color code for it. Should this be a strait forward issue to...

    Cruiser raw water pump

My a/c water pump stopped working this weekend. I disassembled the pump to find the black magnet had split in two locking up the pump. The motor was humming. Should I rebuild the wet end or replace the motor and pump? The pump and motor are 2 years old. Thanks.

    Rotary Buffer

After getting advice on Hampton' polishing thread I decided I needed a rotary machine. I purchased a Harbor Freight rotary. It ran wide open only and would not start turning unless you gave the head a spin. The second HF machine will not hold a set speed. It starts out very fast then slows...

    Sign of the Times

I was in Orlando this weekend and saw this sign as we were coming home on I-4. This dealer usually has a lot of boats on his lot and seems to have done a good buisness in the past. I wonder what the 25 percent off was for? Certainly would be a good starting point.

    Repowering 280 with diesel

Well as I posted a day or so ago I lost my 280 not because of me or the seller and I am done boat shopping for this year. While I steam about the circumstances I have been thinking, which is probably not good. Has anyone thought about repowering a 280 with a single Cummins Merccuiser...
