UPDATE - Installed both NEW SC 1000 factory Tachs. It was plug and play except for the Port gauge showing error Fault Pitot - I believe the Pitot is assigned to the Starboard engine so I will have to go into the calibration 2 setting of the Port gauge and disable. Will be sending the speedometer...
Thanks - just wondering if the software versions are different between the old and the new which I believe they are, and will this be an issue installing new factory SC1000 Tachs.
Has anyone replaced their existing SC1000 Tachs on their 340, specifically SC1000, with the exact same NEW ONES? Wondering if the new ones will both need to be re-calibrated or will the existing engine info stay populated? ...fuel tank capacities, etc...like plug and play...TIA
On Amazon it is from the Heyalan Store - Cold Water Only Kitchen Brushed Nickel Single Handle 1 hole 360 Degree Swivel Spout Deck Mount High Arc SUS304 - there are 2 sizes - I went 8.3 inch but 11.8 inch is also available - @ $22.00 - Let me know if you need more info!
Received the Acuators ( Bennett part # A1101A ) and Trim Tab Hydraulic Hardware Pack ( Bennett # H1170A ) - might as well add new fittings, etc. but haven't installed yet as it has been way too cold for my diver /mechanic. Will update once installed.
Also replacing the Kohler model 5E...
That does help a lot! The pictures really help and thanks for taking the time to reply. I keep the boat in the water and my diver at the marina who says he can do it in the water at my slip. I will call Bennett tomorrow to get the actuators and parts. I will post how it goes when done.
Anyone replace their trim tab actuator? My 2006 port is leaking on the outside and suspect it is a seal. I want to just replace the actuator and have 2 questions - 1)what is the size and part number ? and 2) has anyone successfully done this while in the water?
Yep - did that - even added a bit of soap to make it easier to soot outside but nada. Looking to see if it is on the port or starboard or in the engine room bilge. The manual is no help. A mystery so far unless someone knows for sure…thx
I actually used the Onn brand Model 100027964 from Walmart @$30. Went out in the Atlantic yesterday and in 2 Ft seas the tv on the mount did pull away a bit as designed but tomorrow I will have to revisit securing it down either by the Velcro that Chris-380 pointed or another way so it stays...
Thanks for all the help. Finished this morning. Mounted the new tv mount, fed the power cord behind the electrical panel to the outlet, and replaced the shroud/frame. Old original 23” tv had a bad cable connection so it went in the trash. Pictures attached with 32” tv.
Just read your write up and awesome . Wish I could have used the existing mount but does fit the new tv. I just drilled three holes for the new mount for my 32” tv so fingers crossed ( didn’t sound or feel like I hit anything)
Thanks - Does your Glomex work switching between Cable at the dock and over the air ? I couldn’t get it to work on 2 separate TVs I tried on the boat…thanks again ( I do miss Lake Lanier as I had a boat at Aqualand for years when I lived there)
