    Cruiseair stops randomly

My cruiseair unit will sometimes run for a few hours and sometimes only runs for a few minutes and cuts off with the High Pressure warning. I know the High Pressure reason for cut off is often lack of water flow however water flow is normal. The fact it sometimes runs for some hours before...

Advice on docking in my berth

Thank you for all the advice, now I have a working bow thruster it has made it a heap easier. I have been taking it nice and slow and had a number of successful and not too stressful arrivals into the slip.

    AC Cutting out question

My CruiseAir AC cuts off intermittently, code HI PS, however plenty of cooling water is exiting the boat(I did clean the inlet strainer too). My thought it is a faulty trigger switch since sometimes the AC will run for 10 minutes , sometimes an hour or more before the error code HI PS. If I...

Sundancer 280 with single 496 mercruiser engine

Our 280 is equipped with the single 496 HO, it will hit around 40knots WOT so I would not call it underpowered. It has 425HP and the V6 twins total 440HP but have more weight so performance is comparable.

Advice on docking in my berth

Advice on docking in my berth

The pic was taken when the tide was high , at low tide the wall would be at level of radar arch so above the gunwale which makes it difficult for fending off. They really need a couple of piles just off the wall.

Advice on docking in my berth

My berth is next to a concrete wall as in the pic. The prevailing winds can often be pushing the boat towards this wall and depending on the tide the wall can be either low or high making difficult to fend off. I am thinking best is to back in with a line running from bow ready to catch the...

Alarms sent me into the Dock

Yes there is fibreglass matting visible , at least it is above waterline. The blower vent cover is cracked but I think they could repair that as I know they are rare as hens teeth.

Alarms sent me into the Dock

Yes, it was so loud and shrill I just wanted to get back to dock asap and to add to the problems I had a cross wind pushing me onto the concrete wall and a faulty bow thruster. My previous 2 docking attempts had gone beautifully , but this attempt I was too heavy handed and that was the result.

Alarms sent me into the Dock

Hi, We just acquired our first boat, 280 Sundancer. We had 2 successful trips out and got back to dock with no problems manouvering in. On our 3rd outing we were cruising back for 10 minutes at 3,800 rpm (single 496 HO) , slowed down to under 6 knots alarm sounded, all engine indicators were...
