Is there anyone in So. Calif. out there???

That is so sad. It’s crazy how little time there is to react. We replaced a bunch of hoses this year after we bought the boat. I don’t think they had been done in a while. This is a sobering reminder to prioritize maintenance. I’m definitely going to be checking my pumps this week and will be...

Is there anyone in So. Calif. out there???

We were not in Catalina this weekend, but I’ve been looking for any updates I can find. It seems it was a 50’ and the deceased was a 65 yr old woman. It sounds like they took on water over night. The reports are really short on details. Haven’t been able to find boat brand info yet. I ordered...

If you decide to do this trip in that boat, plan your fuel stops at about 150 miles of less. That will keep a safe cushion in the tanks.

Hi! Looking at 2007 Sundancer 340

Good luck with your purchase. We bought a 2006 last November. We are enjoying the boat a ton. There was some deferred maintenance that I’m working through, but we are still boating as much as we can. Spent the weekend in Catalina a couple of weeks ago and can’t wait to go back. We are moored in...

If you are just looking for simple navigation, get a gps enabled tablet and run the navionics app. Set it up on a ram mount and you will be good to go.

What was difficult about installing the A/P? I have this on my list during the electronics update.

I had to use a 6’ ladder in the cockpit to reach mine with the soft top. It’s a long way up there without being able to fold anything out of the way.

So I’m guessing I’m not the only one who has a problem with the padding on the bolster twisting… What is the best way to deal with this?? I usually correct them at the end of the day, but the helm seat has twisted to the point that I can’t seem to correct it. Is there a good way to keep this...

I’m curious about the 2” rise. When I bought my boat, port is shorter than starboard and it drives my ocd crazy. They are on my list to replace both and make them match. Both sides seem to work fine.

It sounds like I should save myself some trouble and shop for a nice cooler with a pad on top. And, thanks again for the info. It looks like you will be answering a few questions for me and supplying me some parts too. I have a list of updates I want to do. Electronics on on the list as well as...

Thanks for the info. If I built the seat in front of the bed, I would just use that as a step to get up and down. We have put a cooler there also and that is how I got the idea. I was thinking about using the sole storage for the inverter and batteries, but I can’t figure out the path back to...

    Official 2003.5-2008 340 Sundancer Thread

So I’ve been exploring the cabin and finding several areas that are inaccessible. The two that I want to look into first are the corners by the bed. How do I get inside the step and seat at the foot of the bed?? Also, has anyone built a seat/step at the foot of the bed? I’m thinking about...

Thank you to those that replied about my inverter question. I tried to get on the boat this week to pull some things apart and explore, but my dad came along and we ended up having lunch and talking more than working. Lol Work can wait for another day. We did add a bbq this weekend and then...
