Does anyone know of a good reasonably priced source for cast iron manifolds? This will be my second time replacing them as its now been a full 7 years in brackish water and Im likely on borrowed time. Luckily the risers are stainless, so don't need those.
Much appreciated!

I believe a voltage meter will work but not comfortable where to ground given marine outlets. Also, I read where a level of 1/2 volt or more is a problem.
Thanks
I've never done this and the boats 15 years old. They weap and I assume are letting in a fair amount of water based on what I see in the bilge. Has anyone done this and how hard is it? Can it be done in the water?
This will be my 3rd time re-caulking my top side windows. Eventually the caulk fails (4-5 years in) and leaks into cabin during rain. The design is such that the glass lays flat so water tends to pool around the glass when it rains.
Any recommendations on a good glass caulk? I believe it has to...
Hi all:
I was wondering if anyones done this on a 350/370 2008 or later with twin VDrives and 8'1's.
It looks like I may have to remove the engines to get at the shaft seals and do the replacement. Has anyone had experience with this procedure on this model or similar?
My Searay is a 2008 350 DA and the V Drive shafts leak some. My question is are these the more modern dripless type? And if so, would tightening the shaft screw slightly eliminate the leaks? Or do I need to replace the stuffing? Thanks!
When I put my starboard engine in drive I get a tapping/knocking sound. It did it once before but went away, now its consistent and appears to be affecting performance versus the port engine. Any ideas?
Seems easy enough. Just curious if theres any gotcha's? The tension pully needs depressing with a breaker bar and remove the idler pully nut. Question, which way doe that nut loosen,, clockwise or counter?
Thx
They've never been very reliable, but at least worked. However recently now the starboard is not registering at all and shows empty on both the dashboard guage as well as on smartcraft. Is this a fuse or something?
thx
Smartcraft alarm, prevents starting one engine. I Put a voltage meter on, all batteries check out fine, 12.5V. This happens occasionally, cables seem tight, not corroded,. Any thoughts? Is there a replaceable sensor?
When we purchased our 2008 350 DA it took several years for me to realize that Searay never hooked up the switch at the factory. I have the toggle switch on the dash, the wiring harness under the dashboard (still coiled up and never assembled/connected) and not sure what else is missing, I would...
I noticed West Marine has upped the price of their pink considerably. They also sell the SeaFit brand for @$2.50 less per gallon. Looks to be the same,, Any difference and can you use for both engine winterization as well as water systems? Hate to pay a premium if its the same. Thx
Curious what others may have paid lately. I've had quotes from $235 a foot to $300. Not trying to be cheap, but want to see what others may experience for good quality work.
Thx
Hi all:
Anyone have this alarm before? And, if so, what is the part #? The dealer parts guy can't seem to locate anything on it. Its been going off with 2 beeps when I first start it up and then after I clear it a couple times, it stops and goes away. it only happens when #2 engine is 1st...
Everyone, I'm wondering of anyone knows anyone around the Deale Md area that works on Mercuiser and has the diagnostic tools and knowledge to access Smartcraft. I have a sensor or two that are going bad and so, need to check and likely replace.
The local Searay dealer is reluctant to travel to...
My Quick windlass didn't work most of the season. Last 2 years I replaced the solenoid, the bow foot switches and the breaker in the bilge. This year when I tried using it, nothing, no clicks other than when you turn on the helm switch and you hear the one click from the power and breaker...
