110 vs 220 Electric Panel

Were you board and looking to post a question? There needs to be a reason for what your asking?

All dual 30's and single 50 amp supplies are 220v single or dual phase. Each can supply 120v legs and the 50 can provide a 220v leg.
 
I am looking to move up to maybe a 450 sundancer and I am seeing some with panels that say 240v 110v and of course 12v. I don't really know Diddley about electricity, just wondering...
 
If you're looking at 1990's 450 Sundancers, the electrical systems came in 2 flavors:

two 30 amp standard shorepower connections or a single 50 amp with a cablemaster.

The panels appearance is different since the two 30 amp system shows two meters at the top of the panel, one for each of the 30 amp cords.

The cablemaster 50 amp single cordset has a single 220v meter at the top of the panel.

This is my experience and I have a love/hate relationship with the cablemaster.

Love it when docking (I added a remote - SWEET) hate it in the engine room.

I can't confirm but believe it's a safe assumption that both versions will provide for 220v service for the high draw items.

Perhaps someone can confirm this assumption.

The dual 30's if on separate circuits (phase's) from the dock will provide 220v, if on the same circuit then only 120v from both. The 50A supply can always provide 220v or, as mentioned above, two legs of 120v.

Few boats need 220v. Besides whatever you are looking at will have what it needs. I wouldn't worry about the type of electric panel the boat our interested in has.

this is a 4 function remote

My 450 came with fwd and aft thrusters

with this remote I am able to stand on the bow, swim platform or the dock and easily tie up.

I have it on a lanyard around my neck

Running the 50 amp shorepower is a breeze, as I can run the remote and walk across the dock with the cable.

I will eventually add the windlass as the 4th item on this remote.

At 66 years old and this device is part of my plan to be able to continue single handling the 450 for years to come.

Imtra is the North American distributor for Sleipner and they have passed along your Email to us.
Our system run off the negative feed, most system run off the positive. I do not believe that you can run the Glendenning system off the remote.

I think we've truly hijacked this thread Mark, but anyway, here's copies of my own e-mails below.

I should add as I recall it took some figuring out and it seems I had to add a jumper wire, or wires at the connection block on the Glendenning.

I ran my wiring above the deck during the testing process until I was sure it would work.

Also, it's possible that the product has been changed/updated/reengineered since I bought mine 1 1/2 years ago.
