1990 390 Express for sale

No plans Did have a final sting from the Bass Haven
marina in Marblehead Ohio. I had put money down for the dock and will not need it since the boat was sold. After letting them know the dock was no longer needed. Bass Haven Marina said there is another $1,800 owed on the dock and if not paid the boat cannot leave the marina.
 
Does the slip rental agreement have a cancellation clause? What does it say?
 
it said after May one no refund. On the back line 7 It reads; Failure to pay dockage when due will be considered grounds for termination of agreement. The only payment made was the down payment missed November, Feb, and April. So according to this it should have been terminated.
 
Sounds like you owe the money then. You could go steal you own boat in the middle of the night I guess.
 
Good point except I no longer own the boat it was sold. but to be fair to the buyer I paid the dockage so he could enjoy the boat hassle free.
 
Also, I found out the dock was rented to another party for the season for the same full amount I had paid. Bass Havem only returned part of the dock fee I had paid. Saying it was being nice since there is a no refund policy. I have filled a claim in small claims court for the rest of the money. Not sure why Bass Haven thinks the remainder of my money is there's? I have been told the no refund policy is there in case they don't rent the dock out, that is understandable.
