Hey everyone. I have a 2000 270 sea ray Sundancer with twin 4.3 Mercruisers. My issue is that all the cabin lights works intermittently. The ones I’m discussing are all 12V. No rhyme or reason that I can figure out. There seems to be a fuse block somewhere according to the blueprint drawings. Does anyone know where I could find this or has any other thoughts? Thanks in advance for your help and insight.

Do you have breaker for these in your cabin panel? It could be a flaky breaker. But try turning off and then back on. It should feel/act just like a breaker in your house.

What fuse block are you referring to? Please post a pic of the electrical diagram that shows this.

My guess would be the rocker switch by the cabin door. Those switches get worn and that switch controls all the cabin lights if I remember correctly.

That's a good possibility, too. Yes, you're correct - typically there's a master switch there for the 120V lighting and another switch for the 12V lighting. They're there to make it easy coming into the cabin at night, rather than fumbling around trying to find individual fixture swtiches.

I don’t have a breaker for interior lighting. I supposed there is a fuse though somewhere I just can’t locate one.

Ok that’s a great thought. Let me check that switch. Thanks!

Ok I’ll take a look at the main switch. There should be a fuse for interior lights somewhere right?

I'm pretty sure it's on a circuit in your panel. Post a pic of your 12V side if you're not sure. Or flip them all off and see if the lights still work... then flip them on one at a time.

The cockpit lights on my 2001 270 quit working last weekend. How did you fix your problem. Inquiring minds want to know. Lol.

He was talking about cabin lights... although he never returned after those 4 posts.

Did you look through the posts at the thoughts? First thing would be fuse/breaker. Check that and post back.
