The flip down tv in our 420 started making some clunking noises as it got close to being shut and after shutting. When we try to activate it to close, it seems like the motor to drive it up starts but doesnt engage the tv to close. After a few seconds it engages and goes up but then clunks at the end. Has anyone had a similar experience before? Does anyone know how the flip down tv activates itself - maybe like a pinion gear off a motor? Any ideas or thoughts on what might be wrong and how to access the drive mechanism? Thanks for your input.
I see there were no responses here but did you figure out how to access the motor for the flip down tv? I'm hoping the headliner doesn't have to come down,
Unfortunately, I did not. I pulled the trim off and can see the cylinder but no way to get my hands on it. It looked liked the cylinder was bad. Seems like a winter project.
Hey @Jrub215 and @Painkiller - I had to do this in 2019. Not a fun job at all. Here is how I did is with pics: http://www.clubsearay.com/index.php?threads/420-da-thread.1273/page-106#post-1072908
