I have a 1997 7.4 with weber carb and elec. choke. Had the carb rebuilt this last winter and now my choke works backwards. As the choke warms it closes my choke at the carb. Is there some way the rebuild could have changed the direction the choke linkage travels? The coil heats and moves but the wrong way to open the choke. Anyone else ever had this happen?

as far as i know all bimetallic springs go just 1 way so guessing the arm is on the wrong side of the choke rod

I called the rebuilder today after work and was told that the Holley has an elec. choke that looks identical but works opposite the Carter-Webber. He said my choke may have been faulty and was replaced with the Holley choke. He said I should be able to remove the coil and flip it over and push it back in place making it work the opposite way, guess I'll give it a try. Thanks for your help.
