The boat was running fine on Sunday. All stats were good according to Vesselview. It seemed a little louder (more than usual) at 2000 rpm but at 3300 it ran perfectly.
Got back near my slip and the engine died at idle. It wouldn't start & I got towed in but 1/2 hour later it started and would idle like nothing was wrong.
I checked the fuel pressure with key on, 40 psi. With the engine running it was over 100.

I took out the regulator and saw some minor junk in the screen and attempted to clean it. Stuck it back in, fuel pressure is totally normal now.

BUT... with it in neutral I crank it up to 2000 rpms and it short of shakes the boat some. My starboard engine doesn't really do this. It seemed to run fine other than this shaking. It sounds a little off.

It can't be the shaft or prop because I'm not in gear.

I'm leaning towards the cool fuel module but not sure why it acts up around 2000rpm but not really over or under 1500. it almost seems like a misfire to be honest. Or water in the fuel?

What I'm confused about is why it would stall and not start up for a while (wasn't overheated). It would stumble like it was trying to start for 3-4 seconds and then just die. Then 1/2 later its all good.

any suggestions?

If there was crap on the FPR then you have the same stuff in your fuel system. Clogged injectors most likely
