Advice for new members

Found your post in the newbies area. Is there still an owner map? I don't see a site map, nor a place with a map of members... but I thought that would be really cool!

never mind... I see now that it's at zeemap.com, but it's no longer available.

Support the site at least as a Silver Sponsor. You will be getting much more than $25 dollars worth of advice. And, no, I'm not a dealer, site promotor, or Club Sea Ray corporate insider (that memory thing).

I’m a new member too…trying to figure out how to make a new post?

Thanks…but how do I "pick a new category" ?

This will become a sticky so please refrain from the side comedy business that we occassionally do.

For the members that have been around for a while what advise would you give to new members of the board. Do not write a complete list but one or two comments that you think would beneficial to that new member trying to get the most out of CSR!!!

Since it is going to come up:

Put your boat information in your signature:
In order for people to be able to answer your questions there are two things that you will want to include in your profile/signature. Your location (this will usually tell if you are a salt water or fresh water boater). The second is the year, model, and motor/drive of your boat. We have decided not to require this during the registration process however if you want the best answers for your questions it should be in your signature. If a new member joins take a second to tell them to complete their signature with this information. In the end it just makes it easier for everyone.
Note: Jan 21, 2008#1 Welcome to CSR.

Thank you! I was searching everywhere trying to find the rules for the forums and only found a small paragraph. I sell Mercury Marine products and would like to be able to help people with advice on gauges, etc. I'm still not sure exactly what I can or cannot say. I see now that I can put a company name in my signature. Can you send me the complete rules? I was thinking of paying the $149 per year for the commercial user acct. Thank you!
