Afternoon Dear CSR Members!

I am new here, but not new to boating; I need your help.
I have a ‘prop pitch at 3600ft elevation’ question.
I have a 2007 Sea Ray 36 Sedan Bridge with twin gas MerCruiser’s and one badly damaged prop. I need to know what props to buy for it {I have no idea what the current prop specs are}.

I don’t want to go up to the lake empty handed, without props that are somewhat close in proper pitch, when I pull the boat out to pull the current ones off. After conversations with marine stores and a deep dive into Sea Ray’s records archives…I know the following:

  • 1.5” Driveshaft Diameter
  • Transmission = ZF-63A-2.7
  • WOT = 4600rpm
  • Elevation = 3600ft
  • HP = 740
  • Net LBS = 22,000lbs
  • OEM Props [left: 22”x23”x1.5” DQX L4BC Nibral; right: 22”x23”x1.5” DQX L4BC Nibral]
  • OEM Prop Part No’s [left: 1851747; right: 1851709]
I know that Sea Ray calls for their OEM Props {dimensions above} to be used…but I need to know if that pitch changes, or should change, at an elevation of 3600ft. The boat is slipped at Lake Powell. I want to get as close as I can with the prop pitch before I go up and pull the boat out of the water. I plan on pulling the current {damaged} props off and replacing them with what I find. If I need to fine-tune the prop sizes/specs further…at least I can use these ones as spare/emergency props.

Please Advise; Any suggestions are welcome.
