Cleaned the anchor and found a replacement Kodiak decal for my Searay 340 Sundancer. Pictures show original condition of anchor, cleanded anchor, and clean anchor with decal installed. These decals are very hard to find in the after market. I have an extra decal for sale and will post it to eBay.

New tires come with decals on them. Yeah. It's like that.

The guy is just trying to make his boat look new. I can respect that. Nice job for the fine touch.

You guys are sounding like the crab-apples on the Corvette Forum.

I use to be active over there in the C3 forum, that place is brutal. Possibly like THT forum, stopped posting there also.

How did you clean the anchor?
I wanted to be careful to not to compromise the galvanizing. Did a little research and decided to use Rust-Oleum Rust Disolver spray gel. Dropped anchor and chain on the dock, washed it down with fresh water and applied the spray gel. Only left it on for a few minutes and brushed the anchor with a scrub brush, then risnsed with fresh water. Same operation on the chain.
I cleaned a few years ago and it has maintained that original look

. I normally wash the anchor down with fresh water after coving out at the Lake of the Ozarks (small lake in Missouri).
I'm an old gear head and like everything stock. I was looking at a stainless anchor, but thought I would try cleaning it first to see if I could get it back to like new condition.
