Maybe I missed something along the way but, has there ever been a SR get together on Lake Erie such as PIB or Cedar Point or Kellys? I know in some areas they have them and seems like it would be a lot of fun since there are so many SR in the Island area.

If all goes well with the survey on Tuesday I will be the proud owner of a 2000 340 and will dock her in Huron. This is a great idea.

Set it up... Quickly. This season is closing fast :/ A lot of us frequent the islands, so it shouldn't be hard to get attendance/participants since a lot(at least a few or more) of us will more than likely already plan on being there!

Buckeye Boater: Looking at your link it appears you were very active in this back in 2015. Are any of these boaters still around and on this forum? What happened in later years to the get-togethers? Would love to hear your insight.

New Horizon,
Can’t really comment as to why the get togethers did not continue. I believe several of the boaters are still active in the area but maybe not so much on the forum. A lot of time and energy was put into planning and putting on the rendezvous. It seemed as if most if not all enjoyed themselves.

Thanks for all the insight from past gatherings. It seems they put a lot of time and effort into it. "keep it simple" might be the way to go. Very informal get-together less all the arrangements and houp-la. Just pick a date, reserve some docks with a restaurant and make it a overnight thing. I think the best part of getting together is the camaraderie, not the food or partying but maybe I am wrong. Let's see what others have to say.

They were great for the few years that they happened. In the end a lot of work took place to do them the way they did it. They were really fun and met a lot of people. It would sure be nice just to get together some where for just a meet and greet. I'm a for reserving the wall at Seaway nothing more keep it simple that way no one feels pressured to organize it .

If you don't make plans,... nothing ever gets done.

From the above posts, it looks like there is some interest in getting together and keep it simple. If we did would either Middle Bass or PIB be a possiblity if we did it during the weekday since weekends the docks are full at both places? What month? Would need some type of sign up and dock reservations. Just a one night ordeal? Your thoughts?

So, as a partner for the Sea Ray Lake Erie Rendezvous... I'm still around and still an active boater in Lake Erie. Life got busy and priorities changed. They used to be an absolute blast and I really enjoyed meeting everyone the years that we hosted. I'm not opposed to trying to set something up for the future. Casey and Family always went above and beyond to make the event even better than I could have ever hoped for. I agree that it would be nice to meet some of the CSR members and catch up with those I have not seen for so long. Life just gets on different paths and priorities some times.

This year would be tough to pull off but next year for sure. If you want to try to do something informal this year first or second week in October at PIB ..I can make arrangements at Millers.

Good to see you back around Jason.

Blueone: Millers would be a great possibility for next year during the weekday for sure. In the realm of "keeping it simple", we need to set a date, find out how many want to commit, possibly pick a rain/weather alternative if possible and talk with Millers to reserve the docks and go for it. I am sure I missed something here but you guys can fill in the voids.

No no no.. it has to be a weekend. I have connections there at millers …. That’s how I roll

Blueone: Great, so Millers would block out a dozen or so spaces for us on a weekend? That would be perfect. Let's see how many takers there are over the next several weeks or so. Sign me up.

If I get a boat by then I’m in.

If this coming season get together happens I know PIB great place but the wall at Kelley's sure would be a great place for everyone to chill right at their boats to see everyone. Plus a beach for a few fires in the evenings. Kelley's the best of both world for those who want to go into town and for those who just want a quieter evening in the marina.

I’m not a fan of Kelly’s wall…… too far to town… bathrooms suck sharing with ferry people…. No shelter….. if we get enough people I say vote for millers(PIB) or Kelly’s ….. to reserve at millers you have to do this before April 1st…late February early March is best

I do agree about bathrooms never use them at Sea Way. Millers would also work just throwing it out there to get people thinking about next seasons. B Dock comes to mind when you say PIB not the best for a get together.
