I needed to have the helm cushion reupholstered so I figured it would be a good time to make a few modifications. First thing was making the cushion swing up on hinges so the drawers I put in place of the jump seats would be accessible from up top if there wasn’t room to slide the drawers out. The second thing was the drawers themselves. I didn’t like the raw and hastily painted plywood and boards so I decided to redo them but using a laminate for the drawer bottom and vinyl covered boards for the sides. This gave it a much nicer finish.

Just had them reupholstered but they are just 2 captain chairs. Don't know if you have a salvage yard for boats but a good place to check then get redone.

Where did you get your chairs from ?? I am looking for something like this. Thanks

West Marine has a sale on similar chairs right now. I can tell you that people who have used ones always want good money for them unless they’re trashed, like the ones I bought where I had to replace dang near everything - wood, cushions and vinyl, even the rubber caps.
