Brand new SeaRay guy here! Being a sailor first and a motor yacht guy second got to say this is a primo site that appears to load quickly and easy (kind of) to navigate around.

Just bought a new/old 1995 175 I/O. Think it’s a Sport but not sure how to tell-it is getting a final once over at boat mechanic. Stored in an enclosed storage room with climate controlled air for the last 9 years. Who does that for a little bowrider but hey I’m not complaining cause it looks virtually new. Two previous owners, near perfect gelcoat and 90% great interior. And original trailer that looks like it’s never been in water, but I’ve been assured it has. Boat and motor has 243 total wet hours.

Is it possible to buy those small bow and stern snap in covers for use when mooring and on the hard? Internet wants to show me full covers, which I also need.

Transom looks great no running rust lines coming down and after shaking the stern drive feels very tight. Hopefully the mechanic does further more important checks on it.

Not getting survey (age of vessel, not interested in paying $725 for survey plus I’m practically stealing the boat anyway).Engine starts up immediately, muff test looked great and engine didn’t even run rough at idle at all (I’ve been told the 3.0 have a tendency to idle rough even when properly tuned up).
PO has all the receipts from last 6 years and it’s not much; last year replaced impeller, belts, starter (original was on boat) and a few other things-I don’t have p-work yet so unsure on exact parts.

As you guys and gals have infinitely more knowledge on SR boats, can I get some model specific info I need to look into?
Thanks and looking forward to enjoying my boat and learning more thru this site.

Welcome from Idaho! You've definitely found what's arguably the best Sea Ray site. 'Afraid I'm ignorant on your boat model, but you've opened the flood gates by asking for help here. You'll have to wait a bit, as it sounds like a bunch of the crew is either watching the coronation and/or the Triple Crown, of which neither has anything to do with boats!
