Cockpit Ice Maker to Fridge Conversion

This is why you don’t mess with the ice maker….. my day is always better when I walk past one of these

I did this. I bought a one of these below. Drilled a hole in the back of the frig and inserted the probe. Then found the power wire to the original thermostat and tied into that. This way the original thermostat wants it to go below 32* This Set up stops the temp at 38* and shuts the freezer off. Beer is cold all day on the hook. Yes it's 110v but it stays cold real good. Just don't leave it open, or just start the gen. I don't have the write up on it. Been 5 years and still works great.

Hi Havana! Nice to e-meet you. I am also needing to run a DC line for my fridge, does this just entail running it to the batteries themselves?
I ran my12vdc to the panel in the e hi ne room. Make sure you buy a breaker rated for it. Used #8awg, super simple
