My cruiseair unit will sometimes run for a few hours and sometimes only runs for a few minutes and cuts off with the High Pressure warning. I know the High Pressure reason for cut off is often lack of water flow however water flow is normal. The fact it sometimes runs for some hours before shutting down would indicate it is receiving adequate water.

I am thinking it could be the trigger circuit that turns on the compressor and water pump ?

When it cuts off with the High Pressure warning I turn it back on and it will then run normally for a while before cutting off eventually.

Any ideas what I can try ?

Even though you seem to have good volume, the system could still be scaled or slimed and not dissipating heat well. If the system has never been descaled/cleaned with a recirculating solution, that would be my first step. Location IE Warm water, Sun and Salt make these kinds of maintenance items required more often.

It's possible that something is in the line preventing flow (all the time). I suggest having a look at the Cruisair unit and removing the intake water line to be sure it's free and clear. You can run a flexible plastic drain cleaner down there. Go segment by segment (AC pump forward/back, Cruisair intake hose forward back) to be sure the line is completely clear. It's obviously not the usual air lock in the line if you see water output on the side of the boat.

Yep, Use barnacle buster with a recycling pump in a 5gal bucket and let run for a 5-6 hours. A lot of work but it will most likely fix your issues.

Make sure your vent/air lines arent kinked or obstructed. This happened with us and it was causing higher pressure to back up (not the technical term, sorry). The tech actually rerouted the air ducts slightly and removed a 12" section. Solved our problem.
