My dear friend and his wife were on their boat Sunday night July 3 when their boat was struck by another boat that was speeding. The speeding boat drove over top my friends boat and directly over his wife. My friend pushed the boat off of his wife and the driver restarted the boat and sped away. Laura, my friends wife, died on her way to shock trauma. This happened in the Magothy on Sunday evening. There were lots of other boats around; if you were there and saw something, heard something , or know ANYTHING, please contact the authorities!!

Night boating can be so relaxing and amazingly beautiful until it isn't. There is just no way to immunize ourselves from the idiots that refuse to play by the rules!

Let me clarify. That was not my friends. That was from a post on a local boaters group that I cut and paste. No less tragic, just didnt want anyone to think I was personally affected.
That is not a huge river, I am sure it wont take long to find the suspect. Unfortunately, white CC are the most prevalent kind of boat there, so that is working against the LEOs.

Nope. What I posted is all I know for now. I am sure there be more In coming days. Why do people have to be so dam stupid operating a boat.
