Engine Hesitation

Does it happen when the Engine Sync is activated?
Under the helm. The throttle levers are cabled to potentiometers and idle verification switches. Those assemblies are mounted on the left side of the helm in metal brackets. There is a port and starboard assembly. You might try and swap the two to see if the issue follows to the other engine. Easy to change.
Also make sure the C-Cruise is disabled and turned off.
Another area is to look for wiring issues on the engine's sensors; but that would normally show up as a fault on your Vessel View.
But, then there could be an intermittent electrical connection to one of the fuel injectors. Easy to access and look at; remove the valve cover and check/verify all six wire connections to the injector solenoids.
The only other thing to look at is the injection pump - there is a flying weight fuel governor that shuts down fuel on an over-rev condition. If it is malfunctioning it could cut RPM.

Thanks for the suggestions. It does it both when on engine sync and not on sync. I'm back at the boat a week from today and I'll check each one of your suggestions. The strangest thing is when I shut down for a period of time and restart it clears up. I haven't tried varying the shutdown periods to determine how long it has to be shutdown to eliminate the hesitation. Just noticed that when we we were shutdown long enough to fish or float or just hang out for anywhere from a 30 mins to a couple hours when I restart and head home there's no hesitation at all.

Thanks again and I'll re-post after I have tried your suggestions.
