Fairlee Creek for the 4th?

We got up your way on the 3rd - anchoring in Sue Creek. Wow does it get shallow there! Lol. We had a blast. Then on the Fourth we went to the horse farm at Gibson Island. My fav spot. Crowded but not overly so. We left the Magothy long before that horrible accident occurred.
Horse farm? Do you mean Dobbins Island?

Sort of. As you head towards Dobbins, instead of turning left to the anchorage and mooring balls, turn right and head up the marked channel. Amazing cove back there, facing a giant estate with horses. Very calm, way more so than DI (which is way calmer than HM). And beautiful.

Back in the early 90s we had a gang of boats met up every weekend all summer. One spot was Dobbins Island.
We had hats and shirts made with Dobbins Island Yacht Club. Got a lot of attention. Still have the hat somewhere.
For those don’t know, there is no DIYC. It’s a small sandbar people anchor at. Good Times.

Ha ha. That’s good stuff! I love that people thought it was a real club!

Going back up to Fairlee Creek later this afternoon for the weekend. If anyone is around stop by for some crushes.
