Landed this used for $500 today. Only mod I want to make is bring the rear bunk up a bit to better expose the tail lights. I’m due for an oil change and need to install the tabs, so much easier with a trailer.
I saw your post and ordered these tabs for my 290 Highfield. Easy install with the provided template. I’m running them in the lowest down position and they make it quicker to get on plane with my 15 merc. Rick
cool! Looking forward to trying them on ours too. We run it pretty heavy and in some decent chop so I think they’ll help us quite a bit
Install looks just liken mine it is a nice system. I have not quite figured out what the bracket on the inside of the hull is for… I’m thinking to hang the diagonal piece on when you flip them up when tying the dinghy down but it doesn’t seem to fit right. I did buy some additional pins as I have to raise up one of the tabs each time I travel and I’m sure I will drop one.
Those Highfield Tabs look like what I’m looking for on my AB 10AL. The transom looks super similar, I’ll call and see what they think. Thanks for sharing!
These didn’t work for me on my AB 10 VS if anyone is interested. http://clubsearay.com/index.php?thr...-dinghy-tender-trim-tabs.103968/#post-1294903
Okay that makes sense, I was trying to hang them on that hook with the pin in and use the other pin to secure it….Thanks for the photo.
Did a test run today, the boat is way more fun now. With the tabs in the middle setting it runs completely flat with two of us and really cuts through the chop now. No pounding at all
Ordered my Hurley Tabs yesterday for our new 360 CL GT w/ 30 HP Merc. I will have to move or work around my depth and speedo they are mounted on a shim due to thew hull offset. Hoping minimal trim will make this work.
you'll like them a lot. Don't make my mistake with the template, I set the guide on the lip of hull bottom which put the holes in the wrong place. Thankfully I was able to just fill them with the 4200 I used to seal the install and they don't leak once you see the template it'll make sense, just lay it flat against the transom
I sat in a CL310 with the FCT console at the Toronto boat show and now I think I know what my next upgrade will be. It is not nearly as expensive an upgrade as I thought, the most annoying money to be spent are the Suzuki parts required to enable the remote control steering and throttle. biggest issue for us would be really pushing the upper limit of our h20 davit setup.
Posting just cause it’s nearly February and bored. Zodiac in house and ain’t lost a pound of pressure since November. I’m impressed.
My new one this year…. Hard bottom Zodiac….. not even unwrapped…. This is how it shipped….. spring Christmas present
