My wife and I attended this crazy rafting party in Woods Hole, Mass. yesterday.

This amazing wood/epoxy trimaran just arrived from Puerto Rico and tied up. It had a 32 foot beam.

Did you talk to the owner of the trimaran? There was a guy who had one custom built in Maryland 20+ years ago that looks identical down to the hatches.

Unfortunate update regarding the trimaran.

It left Woods Hole harbor for Bermuda at the end of the season with the owner's wife, a hired captain and my nephew as crew. The owner could not take this passage.

250 miles off Cape Hatteras and in the middle of the night, the port sponson filled with water laying the boat on its side. Inexplicably, there was no lifeboat on board but the crew of 3 abandoned ship in a 10' Zodiak.

A sail boat, also headed for Bermuda was 20 miles away, rescued them but the boat was lost.

My nephew, who is pretty salty was rattled but is already back out there.
