Sorry but bush jr should have the title for 2nd. The patriot act and homeland security are the biggest expansion of government in our lifetimes. Just because he had an R by his name does not give him a pass.

 

Meh, some good some bad. You do have to also take into consideration 9/11 and the perceived threat. That said, I am not a fan of either. I just understand the motivation. He had a chance to fix immigration once and for all and he pissed it away. So while I don't give him high marks for much, he was a "war time" president. Everything Obama touched turned to sh!t.

 

Agreed with Highslice. Bush wasn't great but given the events we faced he was in a tough position. I thought Obama was bad but this jokester we have now has him beat by a mile. I'm too young to have first hand knowledge of Carter as I was still pretty young then and knew nothing about politics but have heard enough to know he was pretty bad too.

I see the Patriot act and one of the most overreaching acts our government has ever done. I feel that way today and I felt that way then. He did not get my vote for his second term. It was all prepped waiting for a crisis to happen. That is my opinion. But I don't like Obummer and he would never get my vote . But he did not do anything close to as unconstitutional as the Unpatriotic act.

Oh, there's no question this is Obama's third term. He clearly has his hand up Joebama's ass making the mouth move. President Potato Head hasn't had a thought of his own in 30 years...except for maybe "why am I falling up the stairs?"

When I was working at McDonnell Douglas (now Boeing) in the 90's (during Clinton's admin) the US and China entered a deal to export the MD 80 to China. The Chinese wanted to "assemble" the planes they purchased. To do that they needed very precision machine tools that they couldn't manufacture themselves. The same tools used to manufacture F-15s and F-18s. McDonnell Douglas management balked and wanted out of the deal. The Clinton administration basically forced the company to ship the required tools to China. It wasn't that many years later that they started making their own planes. There is no doubt there was "collusion" there,
