Lake Saint Clair Peeps

Sad to hear. Never been there but went past it many times and I always thought the pastel colored housed looked very cool.

 

Did they really use a black-and-white picture when the did that post?

 

We were last there in '16 so it's been a while. Always well managed with wonderful staff members. Before the pandemic, non members, like us, could sometimes go during the week when things were quiet. Never had to wear a jacket to dinner, just slacks and a nice shirt, always great food. Had gotten a bit $$$ over the years, island upcharge and seasonal business. Sadly 6 of the pictured homes are gone, seen on a cloudy day. But it's an opportunity to rebuild higher off the water. Think they got wet during higher lake water levels the last several years.

 

Out at the marina yesterday. Water is up maybe 6" from December. Yay.

It’s official I am up in St Clair last week in July first week in August….. mostly at NCYC…… we need to get together….. no excuses….. especially Great Lakes
I reinstated my membership at crews nest this summer so if you characters are down my way….. let me know

 

Hey Blueone, let's get together for sure when you are up at NCYC. I assume you will have your dinghy with you at that time? Looking forward to getting the boat back in the water, not sure if we will make it to PIB this year, but I would say there is good chance of it. If we plan it, we will reach out in advance.

Are we even allowed at NCYC? I’ve been there for a poker run but I thought it was members only.
Btw: when you go faster than 25knts you only need one head..

 

We’re heading to PIB sometime in July. Probably going to CN again since the boss likes it there. We’re not going to have the kids either. First time for that.

 

Yes of course great spot we visit 2 or 3 times a year….. we have same spot reserved this Labor Day…..same three boats

 

No I am reciprocating from PIBYC… you. Have to be a member of a recognized ilya club. I can only stay during the week then thinking of going to algonac on the weekend end of July
