I'm not sure this is a bug or just a SOL but sometimes there are messages in the board that we referred people to look at an article we previously wrote. For example, someone asked about watermakers and I referred them to a previous article:

http://www.byowneryachts.com/forums/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=3116&highlight=watermaker

It doesn't work now. The articles in this board are loaded with this "look here" stuff and they all don't work now.... Are we just SOL?

Jim and Gary

I can access that posting but I had to play around with changes to the URL to do it...............I changed it to http://www.clubsearay.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=3116&highlight=watermaker and it worked.

Jim I am not sure how you can handle this one but the ability to look back at old postings is very important. In the meantime, you can pretty much see what the changes are between the two URLs so I suppose we could manually change them for awhile if we have to.

If you put a php page at http://www.byowneryachts.com/forums/phpBB2/ and call it viewtopic.php but in it have a redirect to http://www.clubsearay.com/forums/viewtopic.php

And just take the Query String info from the first url and use it in the redirect

?t=3116&highlight=watermaker and

http://www.clubsearay.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=3116&highlight=watermaker

That would fix the issue. I know it might sound greek to people that don't know anything about PHP but it could be done in a couple of seconds and would be a easier fix then going through every thread and changing any posts.
