All,
do you have any preferred marine vinyl cleaners? I am looking to get rid of some typical grease and grime not specific stains. I tried searching and most everything was from a decade ago so some products are no longer available.

Tell you my little secret. Vinegar buy the gallon about $1. Pour 1/2 in a bucket with soap. I just did this morning cutting thru 6 months of winter crud and stains. Sparkling clean. Also its best dam glass cleaner, no commercial glass cleaner close.

Boat soap, dish soap or car cleaning soap?

I use 3M™ Sharpshooter™ Extra Strength No-Rinse Mark Remover. The local pro detail-er uses this and works well w/ minimal effort. Just cleaned mine yesterday.

I like these two:

1. Spray 9.
2. StarBrite Ultimate Vinyl Clean.

After cleaning, I wipe down everything with a damp cloth to get all the cleaning residue off, then treat with 303 Vinyl Protectant.
My exact go to’s!! StarBrite works well and finish it with 303

See my post on the turkey mess I was met with this spring! Spray9 for the win! before and after shots.

I'm trying something different this year. I know vinyl is a very durable material, but I feel all-purpose cleaners (APCs) and degreasers are a little overkill for my routine cleaning. Simple Green and other APCs are lightly alkaline, and most degreasers are severely so (for reference, Spray 9 is very alkaline at 12--the scale ends at 14). I just started using 303 Marine Multi-Surface Cleaner. It's very very slightly alkaline, seems to clean well and lathers really well with a soft brush to work out dirt.

Sorry, the DIY auto detailing stuff I've learned is coming out, haha.

If you have bad grease/oil to clean up, a good degreaser will do the job, and the vinyl can take it. But I don't wanna beat the hell out of my 30 year old interior every time I clean if something less severe will do the trick.

For the vinyl I have drank the StarBrite cool aid, vinyl clean then vinyl protect, after awhile I don’t even need the clean to get the spider poop off, just the protect.
My.02
Jon

I've always used Simple Green concentrate diluted about 50%. Then 303 Protectant. Seems to work well for me so I'm surprised others haven't mentioned it. Seems Spray 9 is getting a lot of votes. Maybe I should try that. After all these years I might find it works better.
