Hey All, a bunch of us, 4 couples are travelling to Miami to start a 14 day cruise in the Caribbean. I have seen so many Miami River cruise videos on YouTube and it got me to thinking that perhaps someone on th forum has a boat that would take us on a bit of a cruise. We'd be willing to pay of course. Or if someone can recommend a private party cruise outfit to use. We are all between 50 and 60 so responsible. I picking a SeaRay because I own one, and all of us are familiar with my 260DA. Thanks

Just google Miami boat charter. There are tons, pick your size and budget. $500-$5000 for 4 hours

If you are staying at a hotel that has a concierge, check with them for options.

Years ago a friend who did charter boat rides for a portion of the day would get most of his bookings from this source.

Another option is the Ft Lauderdale Water Taxi….it will cover more waterfront, passes a couple of large marinas (Bahia Mar & Pier 66), goes up the New River as well as the intracoastal, plus offers hop on/hop off options if you want to check out the beach or dt Lauderdale or a couple of bars along the way…. 1 adult fare =$35 or you can also do a private charter. Mind you, the boats aren’t exactly SeaRays .

Yes, there are tons of charters available in the area. (do your due diligence though - nearly of them conflate LOA with model names, so that "51 Foot SeaRay yacht" is probably a 460DA)

Another note: the Miami River is fine, but there are many better attractions in the Biscayne Bay area, so I wouldn't focus too closely on it. Charter Capts have routes to a science. They'll hit the popular locations and will bring you back to the dock after a 4 hours with minutes to spare.

Used to always take the water taxi when we stayed there.

Thanks for the reply, I guess I’ll wait until I get there. We are staying in an Art Deco place in South Miami, so no Fort Lauderdale lol. Yeah, I forgot about the concierge for sure. The hop on hop off sounds interesting but would really like to have a more private outing on a nice cruiser.

I'm assuming you meant South Beach... The charter outfits frequently operate as brokers. You could call them and ask for a Sea Ray out of Miami Beach Marina, which is a 5 minute Uber ride and actually walkable from Art Deco district on Ocean Dr.

Like I said there are tons… they will take you where ever you want.
