I'm currently in the market for a boat, something similar to a SeaRay or Silverton 40'. I have found one at Dale Hollow Lake as well as another one in Knoxville, TN. My question is, could I navigate this type of boat from either of these locations to Old Hickory Lake without any problems?

The dam at the end of Dale Hollow will pose an issue. So nope, from there.

Looks like the dam at the end of Old Hickory will stop you from getting past Nashville.

I'm going with a no...

I’ve tried to follow along river paths from a Google Maps perspective and couldn’t find any route that would make sense or doable either. Thought I’d reach out to the experts and confirm. Thank you.

If the boat is on the TN river in Knoxville you can get it back to Old Hickory lake. I don't know schedules of lock closures but the route is very doable. What marina are you in? I am on Old Hickory

I don’t have one yet, but it’d be stored at either Drakes Creek or Cedar Creek.

Ok, The trip from Knoxville to Old Hickory is very doable as long as the boat is on the TN river. Again just verify if any locks are closed
