5.7L Mercruisers
Hey, I'm Josh. I just bought my first Sea Ray - an '86 Sundancer 340 Express. Tomorrow it goes from the sellers marina to my marina (love that I can say that now) on the upper Mississippi.

My boat has 5.7L Mercs, and is in really nice shape in general. I also own a classic, 1972 Glastron V-176 Swinger, and am selling my former project boat, an '89 Carver Montego Mid-Cabin 23 - I just got worn out with it. I'm happy to have a boat that I don't have to restore for now!

I'll be staying on the boat a couple (cool) nights this week, doing some winterizing before the marina takes over. Looking forward to one more Cruise this year before she goes on the hard!

Welcome to CSR. That is a really nice model year, one of my favorites! She’s a beautiful catch. Good luck!

Welcome to the cult!

Nice lookin Sea Ray.

My first (personally) was a 74 or so Glastron Swinger 186. Nice boat once I got all the squirrel chewed wiring replaced int eh boat and on the outboard. Got it finished and took it out one time. Came home from work one day and the wife sold it in the garage sale for $5500. Couldnt be too upset as we got it for free and only put a few hundred bucks into it.

Enjoy that Sea Ray.

I'd love to get $5500 for mine, but the wife won't let me sell it, and its probably good she won't. Mine is green and sand, love the colors. I had the upholstery all redone a couple years ago and it makes it feel new. Such a fun little boat!

Ours was the puke green and white/aged yellow. I'm glad she did sell it. Not a big fan of the outboard motors. And now, the state is in the process of getting rid of any 2 stroke ones. Not supposed to sell one when changing hands. And those 4 strokes are pretty spendy here. I can't see putting a $20k motor on a $300 hull. It's about like putting a $800 saddle on a $5 plug horse
