So splash went fine with only a few problems. Fixed bad toilet vac pump, bilge float, and leaking front A/C hose. Determined clogged strainer or new impeller for Westerbeke genny, going to change it anyway. I need new sending units for my 125 gallon fuel tanks, the gauges tick when the power is on, but after adding 75 gallon to both sides, no leaks, but the guages still are below the E. Any idea what size or model these are on a 91 350 Dancer?

Have you tried tapping on the guage? My 91 sometimes needs a good tapping to wake them up. Just like old people.

Or check the connections on the back of them for corrosion, loosened, etc.

    Thank you!!

Yessir. Mostly Pool 2 and then up the St. Croix. We sometimes will go down as far as Pool 10.

I grew up (around age 5-15) boating on pool 26 and also the Missouri river. We would load up two 18' Mark Twains and head to a sand bar up river. We wouldn't head back until after midnight most times with the older teenagers running the boats. My parents and their friends were partiers. The boats belonged to friends. I still marvel that we would be on that river in 18' boats running with 150' barges at night. I can't imagine doing that in my boat and it's almost 30'. I'll stick with lake boating.

    But what an experience, right???

I grew up with a healthy respect for tows as that was the business my father owned and we knew all the horror stories.

I hd plenty of friends take their lower units out hitting wing dams in pools 5 and 6.

The river is a different beast, to be sure.

40+ years later, I remember it like yesterday. So I'd agree.

Likewise. We’d take my dads 52 Bluewater down to Clearwater most years and so I’ve experienced the area you grew up around as well. A lot of people out there in boats I wouldn’t even consider on a small lake. Brave.

Brave is one word for them...We have a handful of Bluewaters on our lake, one of then anchors out in the same cove as us almost every weekend. Nice boat.
