Replaced starter and all wires are good. Everything comes on but when I turn key to crank it nothing happens and get Lost Comm on smart gauge. I'm lost on this one.

Open this cannon plug connector, clean the contacts and apply dielectric grease. Reinstall and see what happens. The plug is located in the storage area in front of the helm.

The y/r wire should be on the inboard side of the starter. Check that your getting 12v. on the y/r wire at the slave solonoid when you turn the switch to crank.

Basic’s first
Why did you change the starter?
Is the replacement OEM or aftermarket rebuilt?
Did it crank before you swapped?
Are you sure the wires at starter are correct?
Some starter solenoids have two locations for the small wire S for the start and a G that needs to be grounded.
Others have S and an I or R for ignition coil which is normally unused.
